University (Germany). Bert’s teaching and research focus is on the religious educational
and didactical dimensions of Catholic theology.
Rev Dr Jack Gabig (IASYM Administrator) oversees Children's and Youth initiatives
for the Anglican Communion Network and is an adjunct faculty member for youth
ministry at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Pittsburgh, USA .
Mr Nick Shepherd (Editor, Journal of Youth and Theology) is a freelance researcher,
writer and trainer in youth ministry and mission and is in the latter stages of his PhD
at King’s College, London, UK.
Dr. Helen Blier (USA) is an educationalist specialising in ministerial formation and is
currently director of the Student Information Project for the Association of Theological
Schools, an accrediting agency based in Pittsburgh.
Sarah Dunlop (UK) is a research fellow in the Centre for the Study of Theology, Religion and Culture at King's College London. She uses visual ethnographic research methods to study the spirituality of young people in former Soviet countries and is working on a project to learn more about the worldviews of young Polish migrants in the UK.
Dr Amy Peacock Jacober (USA) is an Associate Professor of Practical Theology and Youth
Ministry at Truett Theological Seminary . She has been working in youth ministry for
the past two decades and her areas of interest include urban issues, marginalized
people and teens with special needs.
Dr Karen E. Jones (USA) is Associate Professor of Ministry and Missions at Huntington College in Huntington, Indiana and Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California . Karen is a writer and researcher in the field of youth ministry.
Rev Reggie Nel (South Africa) is Senior Lecturer at the University of South Africa in child and youth development and missiology and a minister in a small faith community in Riverlea, Johannesburg . Reggie is a consultant to the Comrades, Artisans and Partners (CAP) international youth exchange program was National Coordinator of the Joshua Student Movement and Chairperson of the Christian Youth Movement in Southern Africa.
Rev Bård Eirik Hallesby Norheim (Norway) is a priest in the Church of Norway and works as a research fellow in practical theology at MF - Norwegian School of Theology in Oslo, where he also teaches youth ministry classes.
Rev Ronelle Sonnenberg (Netherlands) is a researcher at the Research Centre for
Youth, Church and Culture of the Protestant Theological University in
the Netherlands. Her research focuses on youth worship.
Rev Andrew Zirschky (Communications Officer) is a doctoral fellow in practical theology at Princeton Theological Seminary and a consultant for Youth Ministry Architects. He is ordained in the Church of the Nazarene.

Dr. Sylvie Collins-Mayo is lecturer in sociology at the University of Kingston in
London and until recently was on the committee of the British Sociological Association
Religion Group.
Rev. Dr. Steve Griffiths is an Anglican minister in Essex, UK . He is a Partner of Youth
Focus, a company providing resources for those involved in youth work and those
training youth workers. Steve is the Course Director for the Centre of Youth Ministry –
Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
Rev. Dr. Jim Hampton is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene; Jim serves
as Associate Professor of Youth Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary, USA . He has
held positions as a youth minister, denominational leader, and a co-founder of a youth
ministry publishing company and is the author of several works on youth ministry .
Dr Paul McQuillan is director of Catholic Education Administrative Services in the
Archdiocese of Brisbane and an honorary Research Fellow with Australian Catholic
University.

for Contextual Ministry, Pretoria University, South Africa .
Professor Dr. Ulrich Schwab, an ordained Lutheran minister, is Professor in
